Buyers joining a transformational development in Goole have become the first to view two stunning new show homes.

Family-owned Beal Homes is to invest £130m over the next 12 years at The Greenways – the biggest single scheme in the housebuilder’s history and a key element of the exciting regeneration of the East Yorkshire town.

The show homes were opened at the weekend exclusively to buyers who have reserved at The Greenways, giving them the first chance to experience the exceptional quality of custom-designed contemporary homes Beal is bringing to Goole.

The Greenways will feature Beal’s full range of house types, with prices from £145,000 to £300,000. The first five buyers have just moved into their new homes, with more to follow week by week as the new community grows.

Among those enjoying the show homes preview were Michelle and Ashley Thorpe, who reserved at The Greenways launch event last year and are looking forward to moving into their four-bedroom Windsor home with children, Noah, 11, and Matilda, eight, later this month.

Ashley, a heating engineer, said: “The show homes are lovely and so well presented and seeing them enabled us to experience what ours is going to be like.

“The homes at The Greenways are so well priced and the specification is really good. We can’t wait to move in.”

First-time buyers Megan Oldridge and Dena Gillies have reserved a two-bedroom Gramercy home and are due to move in during September.

Megan, a transport supervisor, said: “It’s so exciting to see people moving in and to now see the show homes. They’re really nice and have given us a feel for what our home is going to be like.

“We’ve upgraded lots of things in our home, including the hob, carpets and tiles, and we can’t wait to move in. We wanted a new build that we could really make our own and Beal helped us to do that.”

The Chelsea and Haxby show homes at The Greenways enable buyers to experience the contemporary, spacious feel of a Beal home, as well as the quality of the design and build. They also provide a host of inspiring ideas for how Beal buyers at The Greenways can create their own dream home.

The three-bedroom Chelsea features a stunning kitchen and dining area and built-in wardrobes in the master bedroom. The interior design uses warm lighting and modern yet homely colours to complement the bright and airy rooms.

The four-bedroom Haxby show home features a beautiful summer house in the spacious garden, en-suite bathrooms in two of the bedrooms, a kitchen island and dining area looking out onto the garden.

Among the first buyers to move in at The Greenways are first-time buyers Melissa and Jason Mortimer, who have moved into their four-bedroom Windsor home with children Amelia, 10, Theo, six, and two-year-old Mylo.

Melissa said: “We’ve been able to make our home our own for our family and to see all our choices come together is amazing. It’s all really exciting.

“I’ve met some of our neighbours through Instagram and everyone seems lovely. It’s going to be a really nice community.”

The Greenways is the largest residential development in Goole for decades and will ultimately feature 800 two, three and four bedroom homes on a 73-acre site, with 76 homes in the first phase now reserved.

The development supports the creation of hundreds of jobs locally by companies such as Siemens Mobility, which is developing a £200m rail manufacturing facility in Goole, and chemicals company Croda, which is building a new worldwide distribution hub in the town.

Beal is also supporting the local community as part of its commitment to the transformation of Goole, including sponsoring non-league football club Goole AFC and backing a two-year programme of community engagement by Goole Tennis Centre.
