At Beal, our buyers are at the heart of everything we do.
We’re very proud of the “Beal Experience” and love helping people move into a home which is perfectly suited to their needs.
Our talented team makes that possible, so we launched our “Take Five” series to recognise their efforts.
Each month we ask a different member of the Beal team five questions about who they are, how they joined us, what they do and what they most enjoy about working for Beal.
This month, we catch up with Holly Hastie, Customer Care Coordinator.
Tell us about your job and what’s the best thing about it.
It’s my job to look after customers during those first stages after legal completion. I organise their completion work and speak with our customers in the first few days after they’ve moved in to see how they’ve settled into their new home. I also help with home demonstrations whenever a colleague is away on holiday.
The best thing about the job is experiencing how happy customers are with their homes and seeing their design ideas for the first time in real life. I also enjoy seeing the range of different options and layouts that customers choose to make their home perfect for them.
What attracted you to join Beal Homes?
I knew Beal was a well-known, family-run company with a good reputation for building quality homes. I also knew Beal had a reputation for creating a good working environment, with room for progression within the company.
During my interview, I felt very comfortable and that helped me with the decision to accept the role when I was offered it.
What is your favourite Beal development and house type and why?
I like the location of Bishop’s Green. It’s in a rural location, close to historical sites and near Lincoln, which would appeal to me as an area to live in.
My favourite house type is the Thornton. I love its spacious kitchen/diner and versatile garden room, which really connects the indoor space to outdoors. It’s perfect for someone like me who likes to enjoy the garden all year round.
What do you do to relax away from work?
I’m an active member of my local archery club, shooting three times a week and entering local competitions.
I also have two dogs, and like to spend time with them and going on walks. I also love gardening.
Tell us something about yourself that your Beal colleagues don’t know.
I once did a naked calendar shoot for charity at the University of Hull as part of an Athletics Students’ Union event when I was the Secretary of the Hull University Riding Club.
