‘We received great customer service … it was just like speaking to a friend’

Buyers are continuing to settle into our The Greenways development in Goole, which features two, three and four-bedroom homes in the town’s newest community.

We caught up with Tyler Gilley, 24, and his partner Megan Queenan, 23, who moved into their three-bedroom Hackness home in July. Tyler is Commercial Project Manager at Siemens Mobility in Goole, while Megan is a Commercial Project Manager with Siemens Energy.

Tell us about your Beal home and why you love it so much.

We chose the Hackness for the layout because the kitchen/diner is open plan, there’s lots of storage, plenty of light coming into the property and it has a good-sized garden.

We moved around a lot while we were renting and wanted to find a place to call home. When you’re renting, lots of people have lived in the house. But this is brand new and ours from day one, so we’re enjoying making it our home where we can finally settle.

It’s the ideal location for our jobs and it’s in an area which is seeing significant investment.

What are the best things about being part of the community at The Greenways?

It’s a lovely community already. Both of our jobs involve lots of screen work, so we go for walks after work to get away from our desks and that has helped us to get to know the area. It’s a really nice, family community and everyone is very friendly.

Before we bought our house, we noticed The Greenways had a community Facebook page set up by residents. There were a lots of recommendations shared on there and we were able to watch our house being built through drone footage posted on the page by a resident each month.

How did you find the service from Beal?

The Beal team has been amazing. They always got back to us promptly whenever we had any queries and the design team were great at answering our questions.

One particularly good detail for us was being able to position the sockets to suit our existing furniture, so we knew everything would be in the right place from the offset.

We received great customer service and it was just like speaking to a friend. We’d pop into the marketing suite whenever we were in the area and everyone was always friendly and welcoming.

How did Beal help you through the buying process?

This is our first home together. Beal were very patient and made it a smooth process for us. Everything was straightforward and very clear to understand.

There are lots of things we hadn’t thought of, but Beal has helped with these. They also made sure the key dates suited us, such as when we collected the keys, and made it all work around our daily lives.

How have the Beal team helped you to make your home a perfect fit for your lifestyle and tastes?

They were very accommodating with everything we asked for. We planned the garden to suit us and loved designing our kitchen to be exactly how we wanted it. None of our requests were a problem for the Beal team.

What would you say to other househunters about buying a Beal home?

Don’t be afraid to ask questions – there’s no such thing as a silly question!
