Buying a home is one of the biggest decisions most of us will ever make. It’s also when buyers want to feel sure they’re making the right choice, both now and for the years ahead.
At Beal Homes, we’re here to help you make a bold step forward into a new life in a dream new home perfect for you and your loved ones.
As a family-run business known for exceptional quality, and unrivalled personalisation, we focus on building homes that offer long-term peace of mind, together with the space, comfort and luxury expected from modern living.
Now in its 21st year, New Homes Week, led by the Home Builders Federation (HBF), highlights the benefits of new-build homes and the value of modern developments.
This year’s theme, Power to Move, focuses on the practical advantages of choosing a new-build home and shows how having clearer costs, fewer unknowns and built-in efficiency can make it easier to take the first step, especially with Beal Homes.

Lower running costs and fewer surprises
One of the most immediate advantages is energy efficiency. According to the latest Watt a Save report from the HBF and Octopus Energy, new-build homes are 21% cheaper to run than older properties, thanks to much higher energy standards.
In real terms, people living in new-build homes save over £420 a year on their energy bills compared with those in older houses. The average new-build home costs around £1,574 a year to run, compared with £1,995 for an older property. For homes with poor EPC ratings, the gap is even wider, with new builds costing up to £618 less each year to run than properties rated F or G.
Lower running costs also mean fewer surprises. People living in older homes pay around 27% more to power their homes on average, while households in F and G-rated properties can face energy bills almost 40% higher than the average new-build homeowner.
Better for the environment
New-build homes also deliver strong environmental benefits, without asking homeowners to change how they live. Modern homes can cut household carbon emissions by up to 74% every year compared with older properties. Most new builds achieve an A or B EPC rating, while many older homes still sit at D or below, producing significantly more carbon year after year.

Designed for modern living
At Beal, every home meets these high energy standards as a minimum. Our homes are designed to keep heat in and energy use down, with high-performance insulation, thermally efficient windows and modern construction methods.
Many of our latest homes also include features such as roof-mounted solar panels, waste water heat recovery units and preparation for electric vehicle charging.
Long-term value
There is also a longer-term financial benefit. Research shows that energy-efficient features that come as standard in today’s new-build homes can add around 6% to a property’s market value. Upgrading an older property to the same level of efficiency can cost between £23,100 and £83,000, which helps explain why many buyers prefer a home that already meets modern standards.
Beyond the homes themselves, Beal developments are carefully planned to feel established and considered from day one, with attractive layouts, green spaces and street scenes designed to stand the test of time.

Peace of mind from day one
New-build homeowners also benefit from a 10-year NHBC Buildmark warranty, alongside a two-year housebuilder warranty, offering further peace of mind in the early years of ownership.
We also offer a range of schemes and incentives designed to help buyers move forward with confidence, whether someone is buying their first home, moving up the ladder or looking to downsize.

Power to move, with confidence
Choosing a Beal home means choosing clarity, certainty and lower running costs, in a home built for modern living and designed to fit your lifestyle and tastes perfectly.
