Under the hard hat … with Inga Rozentale

Our people are at the heart of everything we do.

As a family-owned business, our talented team is dedicated to making sure our customers experience the ‘Beal Difference’ at every stage of their home buying journey.

Our expert site teams ensure all our homes are built and finished to the very highest quality.

We’ve been speaking to some of our site team members to find out more about who they are, what they do and what they enjoy most about their job.

This month, we caught up with Home Finisher, Inga Rozentale, who has been with us for two years and is currently based at our King’s Fold development.

Q) Tell us about your role at Beal – what does a typical day look like?

As a Home Finisher, my job is to ensure every house is finished to the very highest standard both inside and out.

I use different skills and tools to do a range of jobs, including performing quality checks and making final touch ups.

One of my roles is the pre-paint snagging which involves making sure all the walls, woodwork and surfaces are in a good condition before the decorators go in.

I also go in after the carpet fitters, electricians, plumbers and other tradesmen to tidy and touch up.

Some days I can be working in just one house, other days I can be working in three different homes, it really depends where the other site teams are working. We work closely as a team and everyone works to support each other.

Once I’ve completed my work, the house is inspected by three tiers of management to ensure I haven’t missed a single detail, ensuring every home is finished to the very best quality.

Home Finisher, Inga, is currently based at our King’s Fold development.

Q) What do you enjoy most about your job?

The best part about my job is getting to see the house from start to finish and being able to physically see the result of the hard work I’ve put in.

When the house is signed off and ready for the customer, it makes me feel so proud.

Q) Tell us about your background and how you got into the role you now have?

I am originally from Latvia and worked in construction for many years in my home country.

Working for Beal I learn new things every day. Every house and every day are different so you need to be good at thinking on your feet and solving problems.

Q) What attracted you to join Beal Homes?

The high quality of the homes for which Beal is so well-known really attracted me to the business. I am very proud of my own work and wanted to work for a house builder that prides itself on providing the very best quality.

The team environment was also really important to me. I really value being part of a close-knit team and I’ve found that at Beal.

Everyone is so helpful, friendly and supportive, and my colleagues felt like a second family from the very first day.

Q) What do you like to do when you’re not at work?

I really enjoy getting outside in nature and love camping with my family in places like the Lake District or Peak District. I also enjoy hiking and playing volleyball in the summer.

Q) What’s one thing your colleagues wouldn’t know about you?

I was very naughty as a child! I was always out wanting to explore the world, so my parents did a really good job!

Inga’s ideal dinner guests would be Madonna, Elvis Presley and her Dad.

Quick-fire Questions

Q) You can invite any three people – dead or alive – to dinner. Who’s at the table?

Firstly, it would have to be Madonna. I think she is an amazing woman. Secondly, Elvis Presley, because I love his music. My third person would have to be my dad. I lost him when I was only two years old and although I have a great step-dad, it has always felt like something is missing. So I would definitely want him at the table.

Q) Favourite TV show?

Breaking Bad. It’s always on as soon as I get home!

Q) What’s the best place you’ve been on holiday?

It’s got to be Greece. I loved swimming in the sea, the water was so blue and clear. I even borrowed my little one’s goggles to see the fish underwater!

Q) If you could have any super power what would it be?

To be able to stop all wars in the world.
