How The Greenways is helping to lay the foundations for Goole’s exciting regeneration

Our role in the exciting regeneration of Goole has taken centre stage at a business event held in the town.

We’re currently delivering The Greenways in Goole – the largest single development in our company’s history – as we create an aspirational new community of 800 high-quality homes.

The £210m development is game-changing for Goole and is supporting a wave of investment which is currently flowing into the town.

Our new Sales and Marketing Director, Ross Clarkson, joined a panel of businesses and organisations which are all contributing to the remarkable growth of Goole.

The “Invest in Goole” business breakfast was held at the RaisE Business Centre and hosted by publisher and events company Insider Media.

Ross discussed the important role The Greenways is playing in the town’s regeneration, providing high-quality homes to support the hundreds of new skilled jobs being created.

Ross said: “The Greenways is a hugely important development for us at Beal. We’re about a quarter of the way through the development and, to date, we have sold around 200 new homes.

“Moving forwards, The Greenways will be the backbone of our portfolio. We’ll be bringing high-quality new homes to Goole for the next seven to eight years.

“Beal recognised there was a pent-up demand for quality new homes in Goole. There was a real confidence that Goole was the right location for us and that confidence has been reflected in the strong demand we’ve seen from day one.”

Ross was joined on the panel at the event by representatives from East Riding of Yorkshire Council, Siemens Mobility, Metsä Tissue, Henry Boot Developments and Humber Freeport.

The Greenways is one of several large-scale investments being made in Goole.

Siemens Mobility’s £200m rail manufacturing facility will eventually create up to 700 skilled jobs, with the first train due to roll off the production line in early 2025, bound for the London Underground’s Piccadilly Line.

Elsewhere, Finnish manufacturer Metsä Tissue plans to invest hundreds of millions of pounds to build the UK’s largest tissue paper mill in Goole, while FTSE-listed speciality chemicals manufacturer Croda has invested £7m in a new Global Distribution Hub in the town.

All of these investments will create and retain skilled jobs in the town and we’re delighted that The Greenways is providing much-needed new housing to support this growth.
