Save hundreds of pounds on energy bills and live greener with a Beal home!

Did you know you could save hundreds of pounds a year on your energy bills with a new Beal home?

As energy prices soar, the benefits of owning a new-build home have never been greater.

All Beal homes have a B-rated Energy Performance Certificate (EPC), which is considered the benchmark of energy efficiency for residential properties. In contrast, just three per cent of older properties achieve an EPC B rating.

As energy prices soar, the benefits of owning a new-build home have never been greater.

Bringing an older home up to the same standard would cost tens of thousands of pounds and would be impossible to achieve with many older properties.

It means having an energy efficient new Beal home helps you save money, stay warm and do your bit to tackle the climate crisis.

Sue Waudby, Sales and Marketing Director at Beal Homes, said: “Rising prices are putting homeowners under increasing pressure and the cost of energy is becoming an increasing priority for people looking to move home.

“Owning a new-build property will reduce your cost of living, while still keeping your home warm. Plus, new-builds are also more energy and carbon efficient – meaning you’ll be doing your bit to address the climate crisis too.”

Don’t just take our word for it – a report from the Home Builders Federation (HBF), published in March 2022 and based on domestic energy bills in the year to September 2021, highlighted the huge savings made by homeowners of new homes, compared to owners of older properties.

The report compared the energy cost and efficiency of just under 1.7 million homes, both new and old, across the UK.

It revealed combined bills for older properties were an average of £1,029 per year, compared with £474 for the average new-build home – an annual saving of £555. That’s enough to take a family of four to the cinema, with popcorn, every month!

And that’s before the hike in energy bills that took effect from the beginning of April, with fears of more significant increases to come in October.

According to the HBF report, new-build homeowners across the country saved over £100m in the year up to September 2021.

And, if that’s not enough, new-build home buyers also saved over 570,000 tonnes of carbon in the year … so you’ll be doing your bit for the planet as well by buying a luxury new Beal home!

Beal Technical Director Guy Jewitt said: “Having an EPC B rating on all of our new homes is a big deal – it means our buyers can be confident they are investing in a property which has been built to industry-leading standards and is energy efficient.

“Our cavity walls and floor construction exceed industry requirements and all our homes have highly effective loft insultation. Plus, all of our homes come with energy efficient light fittings. These factors add up to help you save hundreds of pounds a year on your energy bills, compared to living in an older property.

“In addition, we offer an option to make our homes ready for an electric vehicle charging point to be fitted, which saves time, money and hassle compared to a retro-fitted installation.”
