Dozens of househunters enjoyed a VIP experience as Beal Homes launched its latest development in one of Lincolnshire’s most attractive locations.
The Beal team ensured every prospective buyer interested in the stunning Somerby Croft development in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire, received a one-to-one preview of the sought-after scheme.
Seven homes with a value of almost £1.5m were snapped up across the launch weekend as homebuyers were given their own exclusive introduction to the development, which features 89 homes, including 15 different house types, priced from £140,000 to £294,500.

Charlotte and David Platts were the first to reserve their new home at Somerby Croft – a three bedroom, semi-detached Dalby property – and said they can’t wait to move in.
Charlotte, a self-employed cleaner, said: “We’re overwhelmed and excited to have reserved our new home. It’s close to where we live now, near to school for our two children, the countryside is on our doorstep and everything we need is nearby.
“We’ve got a corner plot with a big garden and two parking spaces, which is brilliant. We really enjoyed the experience we had at the launch and the Beal staff were so nice.
“The beauty of reserving our plot off plan is that we can have the fullest possible input into how it is designed and everything will be done when we move in. We came to Beal because we can choose everything ourselves and we’re so excited to watch the house being built.”
Somerby Croft has a prime position in scenic surroundings adjacent to The Belt Road in Gainsborough, opposite the picturesque Thonock Park Golf Course, which is owned by the world-famous golf club manufacturer PING and is home to PING’s European Fitting Centre.
Work is about to begin on the site infrastructure, with the first homeowners due to move in early next year.
Beal Homes is operating on an appointment only basis for customer visits across all its developments due to Covid-19 restrictions and social distancing rules, and that was reflected at the launch of Somerby Croft. Customers were given pre-booked slots for their visits to the event, which took place in the marketing suite at Beal’s nearby The Swale development.

First-time buyers Aimie Holmes and Daniel Hammond reserved The Eskdale, a two-bedroom semi-detached bungalow, at Somerby Croft and will use the Help to Buy scheme to purchase their dream home.
Daniel, a builder, said: “We’re both so happy and excited and can’t wait to make our home our own. It was great to attend the launch and everyone was so helpful.
“You don’t see many new-build bungalows for sale and the feedback we read about Beal Homes was so positive, which is the main reason we chose this development.”
Jordan Puggmur and Robert Palmer also attended the launch and are now waiting for Beal’s Roxby house type at Somerby Croft to be released.
Jordan, 28, a Senior Care Assistant, said: “We want to pick our plot and design our home to suit us. Being able to choose what you want from the start is the key attraction for us.”
Somerby Croft will feature four next-generation Beal designs, including The Swainby, a four bedroom detached home, which is an updated version of Beal’s popular Windsor house type and will be the development’s show home. The development will also include three different types of bungalow.
The launch of Somerby Croft builds on the success of Beal’s hugely-popular The Swale development, which is now nearing completion after construction on the final phase began recently. The Swale has been Beal’s strongest-selling development over the past three years.
