Finance Trainee

We are currently looking for a Finance Trainee to work directly alongside the Group Accountant and Finance Director with excellent opportunities for career growth. All training will be provided, so previous experience not essential but must demonstrate strong academic grades and/or background to suit the role.

Beal Homes are a private, family-owned residential house-builder operating across East Yorkshire & Northern Lincolnshire. Having moved to a new, £5M purpose-built office in Hessle, the company is primed for future growth and is now looking to add to an already established Finance Team.

Main Responsibilities:

Cost reporting and review, working alongside the Technical Department to identify overruns and potential savings.
Management reporting, including analysis work.
Cost recharging and liaising with Sub-contractors / suppliers.
Preparing ONS and other Government reports ready for submission.
Working to assist the Purchase Ledger team, building an understanding of the function.
Utilising the company’s Sage 200 accounting system and Therefore paperless software to generate periodic reporting and control.
Assisting with the preparation of the Company’s weekly site payroll.
Other general ad hoc duties as required.

Personal Requirements:

Strong academic grades / background.
Works well within a team.
Good attitude and a willingness to learn.
Previous construction or accounts / payroll knowledge is a plus but in no way essential – the most important requirement for us is someone who demonstrates personality, a good attitude and work ethic.
