After more than two years helping customers find their perfect property at our Thonock Vale development in Gainsborough, North Lincolnshire, Claire has reserved her own, choosing to put down roots in the community she has proudly represented since joining Beal.
A natural decision to buy Beal
Claire said: “I decided I wanted to buy a Beal home within my first year of working here. From the moment I joined, I thought, ‘this is a development where I could see myself living’.”
Originally from Worksop in Nottinghamshire, Claire moved to North Lincolnshire more than 20 years ago after buying a property to renovate. She and her husband have since built a life in the area with their two daughters and two cocker spaniels.
Now, with one daughter preparing to leave home and the upkeep of their large self-built property becoming increasingly demanding, the family felt the time was right for a new chapter.
On deciding to go for a Beal home, Claire said: “I had to bring my husband on board first, but he didn’t need much convincing. He knew the location, he knew how much I love Beal as a company, and he could see the quality of the homes.
“Buying a Beal home was a natural decision for us.”

Claire added: “I’ve worked for other housebuilders in the past, but when I came to Beal the quality was so different and I was blown away by the Design Lounge.
“I remember saying during my interview, ‘I want to work here. I want to work for this company’ and that hasn’t changed at all. I don’t think I’d ever work for another housebuilder.”
Construction of Claire’s new home is underway and the family are looking forward to moving in early next year.
“My house is currently at the first lift brickwork stage, so the foundations are in and the footprint of the house is taking shape. We’re hoping to move in around February, and we’re really excited about that.”
The perfect place to call home
Having spent more than two years showcasing Thonock Vale to buyers, Claire says living there herself feels like the perfect next chapter.
“I know I’m biased, but I genuinely think it’s the nicest development in Gainsborough. It’s got such a lovely feel to it,” she said.
“You’re far enough away from the town to enjoy the peace and quiet, but close enough to walk in whenever you want. It’s the perfect balance, and of course, Beal builds beautiful homes, so for us it was a no-brainer.”
