Meet the Donkin family, as they settle into life at Turpin’s Heath
Turpin’s Heath, Welton, is set against a backdrop of beautiful, lush countryside. Just a stone’s throw from the market town charm of Beverley and bustling cultural centre of Hull, it’s the perfect place for those who want a slower pace of life, but plenty of entertainment nearby.
It’s also home to the Donkin family, who fell in love with the idea of living in a Beal Home whilst living abroad, having seen a video of our luxury West Hill showroom!
Here’s their Beal buyer story...
Tell us a bit about your Beal home and why you love it so much.
“We have two children, aged 11 and 19, and we chose our four-bedroom Canterbury home because of the layout, size and type of rooms. It’s a fabulous house. Our friends live all over the world, so to have a spare bedroom for visitors and social space is important to us. The Canterbury delivered all that and more.”
What’s great about living at Turpin’s Heath?
“We like that, because of the size and style of the houses, Turpin’s Heath has attracted professionals, or people who’ve retired. People here really look after their homes and the environment around them, which makes you feel really comfortable.”
Why did you choose to buy from Beal?
“We were living abroad at the time and we asked a family member to video the show home at Beal’s West Hill development so we could experience it. The video gave us a good impression of how the property flowed and we were very impressed. Even without seeing the home in person, we could see little details and appreciate what was available. We knew when we got back we could arrange an appointment to make our own selections.”
How did Beal help you through the buying process?
“They were so helpful and put us in touch with a mortgage advisor who was really good.
We found the process of buying a Beal home easy. We received Beal’s Armed Forces discount and used the Help to Buy scheme too, which Beal also supported us with.”
How have you tailored your home to suit your lifestyle?
“The choice you’re given for your home by Beal is unbelievable. The Canterbury comes with a high-quality range of fixtures and fittings as standard, which we were able to add own choices to. We found the knowledge and advice from Beal really outstanding.”
What would you say to other house-hunters about buying a Beal home?
“We would definitely recommend buying a Beal home. When you look at Turpin’s Heath, it’s clear a lot of planning has gone into the position of the plots, so it doesn’t feel like you’re crammed in, and the planting and landscaping has also been really well thought through.”
