Beal Homes crowned as Yorkshire’s best housebuilder

Press Releases

We're delighted and honoured to have been named as Yorkshire's Housebuilder of the Year.

Beal Homes has won the coveted award of Yorkshire Housebuilder of the Year.

The East Yorkshire-based business claimed the Housebuilder of the Year prize in the prestigious Yorkshire Residential Property Awards during a glittering ceremony at the Queens Hotel in Leeds.

Judges of the awards praised Beal for “the quality of their properties, their attention to detail and their exceptional customer service” and added: “Their dedicated marketing suite makes their headquarters particularly impressive”.

Having delivered more than 65 developments across Hull, East Yorkshire and Lincolnshire over almost 50 years, Beal is a rarity in the house-building industry – a family-owned business that has remained independent and achieved sustained growth.

The winning entry highlighted Beal’s impressive growth, exceptional levels of customer service and satisfaction, and commitment to creating homes that are unique to every customer, across its full range of 24 house types.

Beal took the award having been shortlisted alongside two of the UK’s biggest housebuilders – Barratt Homes and Redrow Homes.

The award is also a testament to our customers. By choosing Beal homes, often time after time, they have enabled the business to grow and succeed.

Richard Beal Chairman and Managing Director of Beal Homes

Richard Beal, Chairman and Managing Director of Beal Homes, said: “We’re absolutely delighted and honoured to have received this award. It’s quite an accolade to be named as best housebuilder against two of the biggest companies in the industry and in such a large region with so many independent operators.

“The award is a tribute to our superb staff who do such a brilliant job, day after day, to provide our customers with exceptional homes and excellent service, and also to our development partners, contractors and suppliers, who make such an important contribution.

“It’s gratifying to be recognised for how we do things differently, by putting our customers at the very heart of the design process, to ensure every home we build is as individual as they are.

“The award is also a testament to our customers. By choosing Beal homes, often time after time, they have enabled the business to grow and succeed.”

The awards were presented at a fund-raising dinner with proceeds going to Variety, the children’s charity, to support its work with disabled, disadvantaged and deserving children in Yorkshire. The event host was TV presenter Jonnie Irwin, best known for fronting Escape to the Country and A Place in the Sun.

The judges said this year’s awards attracted twice as many entries as in 2015, reflecting the residential property revival in Yorkshire.

The judges added: “We were very impressed by the tremendous quality and breadth of the work that is going on in our region and with the innovation that continues to drive the industry forward.”

Winner of the prestigious Best Customer Satisfaction Initiative award at the 2015 national Housebuilder Awards, Beal is renowned for its passion for quality and customer service. Every Beal customer is guaranteed a unique and personal buying experience reflecting the company’s vision “to create exceptional homes as individual as our customers”.

Beal is also shortlisted in the Large Business of the Year category in the Hull Daily Mail’s Business Awards, which will be presented on November 17.
